For the first 10 years of her career, Tanya created both print and web content and graphics for small to mid-sized companies and assisted many companies in making the transition to the web. Wanting to further her education and skills, Tanya returned to college, earning Bachelor of Arts Degrees in English and History at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) in 2005 and her Master of Arts Degree in English from MTSU in 2007. During that time, she became a published author, assisted in the production of the foundational text in a new text book series, taught Freshman Composition, and assisted student groups across the MTSU campus in composing press releases, reports, newsletters, and marketing materials. Her MA thesis focused on teaching students how to find good content on the web. Since 2007, Tanya has continued to hone her writing, photography, and graphics creation/editing skills by developing training materials in corporate environments, specializing in multi-modal composition and Web 2.0 development.

On a personal note, Tanya’s greatest passion outside of work has always been horses. She began riding hunter/jumpers in her homestate of Massachusetts in the mid-80s, showing throughout her childhood. For the last ten years, Tanya has been a resident of Middle Tennessee. She now devotes her energy to her sorrel and white Paint mare Penny–the first horse she ever broke/gentled on her own! She loves trail riding with her daughter Kelsey, proud owner of a black and white POA. She loves having the freedom to combine her two greatest loves into a flexible and rewarding career that benefits such a wonderful industry. She is currently working on a Bachelor of Science Degree in Horse Science at MTSU in an effort to expand her knowledge of horses and the horse industry.
